Polwarth sheep were developed by breeding Merino Rams to Lincoln/Merino ewes for a foundation stock of 75% Merino and 25% Lincoln. It is similar to Merino for next-to-skin softness but with a longer staple and more durability thanks to the Lincoln. It is soft, spins like a dream, and known for its elasticity, bounce, and drape. This wool is untreated so use it to spin yarn or in your felting projects.
